OVERVIEW

As the largest collective voice of Bay Area Jews, JCRC embraces and celebrates the rich diversity of Jewish identity and our broader community. Moved to action by our shared Jewish values and heritage, we cultivate meaningful relationships within and beyond the Jewish community in pursuit of a more just world where all people thrive. Currently active across Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, and Sonoma Counties,  JCRC Bay Area is proud to have represented synagogues, Jewish organizations, and unaffiliated Jewish individuals and families of the Bay Area since 1948.

MISSION

Uniting Bay Area Jews and our neighbors to create a more just world where all people thrive

CURRENT INITIATIVES

  • Here I Am: https://jcrc.org/hereiam/

In response to a dramatic rise in antisemitism, the JCRC Bay Area HERE I AM Training provides tools for recognizing antisemitism and gaining a deeper understanding of Jewish identity for teachers, business leaders, government officials, and anyone else.

  • Education Initiative: https://jcrc.org/blog/education-initiative/

JCRC’s education initiative ensures fair and equitable treatment for Jewish—and all students—in our K-12 public schools. JCRC does this by investing in building relationships with district leadership that will lead to positive long-term outcomes for Jewish families.
